How to get rid of this nasty problem?

I have really bad veins under my eyes so basically i have dark circles...u can see the blue veins under my skin. Is there anything i can try to help reduce or diminish these nasty under eye circles. I feel so ugly with them. Can i take anything to improve the apperance of the veins under my eyes? Like vitamins or some sort of herb...Or can i ask the doctor about this? Can they do anything?
